So I ran through the piece, but I don't recognise it. Sounds fun and happy, though! _________________ Good day, good people! |

I'd hate to say this but the second one might be nyan cat... the first one sounds really dark, but boring. the second sounds happy, but a bit too much so. _________________ when you look for love, ask yourself, who do you want standing by you when the world goes to shit, and the dead walk the earth. |

I don't think it's nyan cat. But yes, the first one just sort of shifts a third around.
I wonder if these are Tatsuya Ishida's forays into original composition?
We should make an arrangement for an orchestra!
With a kazoo section and a didgeridoo solo! _________________ Good day, good people! |

Nope. The second one is the theme from "Chariots of Fire" -- appropriately enough. Listen here, the theme comes in at about 40 seconds in. |
edit:ooh you mean the first panel?
That's O Fortuna from Carmina Burana.
It was in 300

Classical music is my favourite genre, so yes, I do know that this song pre-dates movies.
in fact, I always thought that o fortuna was one of the more boring movements. I prefer Fortune Plango Vulnera |

Speaking of which, Russian Composers are my favorite. On the whole Carmina is kinda meh to me. |

Classical music is my favourite genre, so yes, I do know that this song pre-dates movies. | I think they used it in 'Excalibur".
I doubt King Arthur would have known the tune. |
