Yeah, I effed it up so he didn't like me and I plan to do it again, but there were definitely parts of that conversation that had me laughing out loud.

you forgot the really important bit - HE WAS INJURED BY THE MILLENIUM FALCON.

i'm guessing his lending it to lando led to some sort of serious rift in their relationship.

Article calls it the "iconic fighter ship."

That writer should be beaten.

Wookiepedia defines sand as:

Sand [sand]: n.,;

1. That which is not, strictly speaking, as irritating as Padme

From Old English: "Fuck this movie, jesus christ"

I feel kinda bad for the actors in those movies. FOlks rag on them, but, seriously. That dialogue. There is not really a way to salvage it.

It's really not their fault. For the most part even Hayden has been forgiven and people don't rag on him anymore, because it just became plainly obvious that Lucas was just a terrible writer and lazy screener, and became emblematic of the worst abuses of CGI and greenscreen.

Also for a good time, read Christopher Lee's autobio. He cleverly describes how awful it was to work for Lucas. He says something to describe how Lucas was a nitpicky guy who had to get what he absolutely wanted, and got what he absolutely wanted, and what he wanted was garbage.

Some days Lee would obstinately act clueless on Lucas' intended blocking because he knew Lucas' blocking was shit. So he'd do it completely differently and act like he thought he was doing it just like Lucas had requested and be amused every time he would make Lucas think that he had done it exactly how Lucas had demanded

which, you know, just sort of underlined how shit lucas was at blocking or screenplay management

Caught some of the Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles things on Disney Channel before Gravity Falls came on. It amuses me to think that this is now more canon than the Yuuzhan Vong.

It's a pretty fun series besides! Like this exchange after Luke sacrificed a macguffin to keep 3PO from being flattened by Darth Vader.
C-3PO: "Master Luke, you saved me!"
Luke: "Of course. A Jedi always helps his friends, and I am a Jedi like my father before me."
C-3PO: "Oh, um, about that..."

Also it kind of subtly highlights was a fucking mess the movies are with the Prequels included.
