Well, this should be an interesting conversation.

Bets for how long it will take Milton to get past his usual stupidity around Blue and actually reveal what he's calling for? (yes, we can be pretty sure it's about Px, but how long will it take him to spit it out?)

Did anyone else read the last line as going up really high for some reason?

Haha the hearts are the devil hearts.

Okay, this definitely counts as interesting development for Milton. We have a character who, despite being employed by the Devil and his patriarchy, would in a heartbeat be really excited to work for a strong woman. A little too excited from the looks of it. Though there's enough evidence to suggest it might not just be a sexual thing for him. This does throw a number of possibilities for his character up in the air and he's got more potential than I originally thought.

I'm not holding out hope for much character development and thus moving to a point many of us could be willing to give him the benefit for the doubt, but his potential for throwing different characters in for a loop is surprisingly high. Remember the original Resistance storyline? With a technologically advanced oppressive matriarchy? My headcanon says that he must've been involved somehow in it.

No, this isn't him being "really excited to work for a strong woman" or anything -- this is him being all "Oo! A womankind in charge! How taboo! How titillating!"
That's not respect, that... gah, what's the word. You know what I mean.

Possible sexual desires aside and not true respect, at least he subverts any notion at all that he cares about having a woman boss. There's something at least.

Sure he's turned on by it instead of giving her proper respect, but really from a logically-minded yet clueless character like Milton, it's probably the best you can hope for. I mean, if female bosses were the norm in Devil tech, his reaction would be easier to label...As it is, it's more a reactionary testament to how (unsurprisingly) limited the female bosses are in Sinfest's Devil Corp.

Jesus fucking Christ Milton could you at least have the fucking decency and respect not to pretend she's not right there talking to you?

I bet he's going to turn this into a thing where he hopes to go out with her. Urgh.

Can we take a moment to note that the Devil himself is more progressive than he should be? He leaves and puts Blue in charge, no fuss or doubt or anything.

What Yinello said. Urgh, Milton's reaction is just... predictable.

Really? Because I didn't hear people predicting that Milton would be excited, sexually or otherwise, by having a female boss.

As far as the Devil being progressive, I'd say not really. He's just fully co-opted Blue into the patriarchy. In fact, his putting her in charge probably is a pretty solid acknowledgement of the things I've been saying, that she's a willing participant and "buying into" the Devilcorp system. He put her in charge because he knows this.

It's predictable in the sense that cluelessly sexist men's reactions to having women do *anything* out of the ordinary are often either scorn and contempt or uncontrolled objectification. It's the same situation as with a lot of male-written "female action heroes" out there. They're not written or seen by viewers with actual respect, it's just "wow how hot this woman is doing man things whoa there".

Sigh @Milton. It's not the worst possible reaction, but he's got some learning to do.
