Wow, things are getting exciting! This is Sinfest so we know she won't murder him, but I'm happy to see that there's an actual confrontation and Tat isn't cutting away to something else.

He's still got time to cut away if Blue discovers something is wrong in the factory. I hope he doesn't, though. I hope they have a moment and something comes of it.

Normally I'm not someone who goes "OMG Tat reads the forums" but an interesting coincidence in the use of an idiom. Notice the title in this comic and my assessment of Milton:

Me! wrote:
By the same token I see misguided people as doing the most harm in the real world -- and literally in the case of this comic, given he's the only character besides Death to have killed a character onscreen. If you're doing (or are complicit in) awful things, whether you've fully morally/ethically processed it or not, the chickens will eventually come home to roost. And yes, he will still deserve it if something happens to him now.

Mr. Ishida if you have been following my rambly rambles, I'm quite flattered! Thank you!

I believe him, actually. He gets so sentimental about his bat-drones. They're all his babies. He'd be sad to see any fembot thrown away.

Rogue actually reminds me a lot of Fuchsia's earlier appearances in panel 2... :o

Do you think it's possible they used Fuchsia as a base for the model in some way, just to spite her?

So does Milton truly believe what he said or is he saying what je hopes will make her back down? I like to believe it's a mix of both. Maybe he doesn't really see what consumers do with fembots. Px could show him otherwise.

I've kind of always thought that Fembots were based on Fuchsia, admittedly. I mean, in their first colored appearance they were an absolute dead ringer for of her and everything. By the time Rogue made her first appearance though, they didn't look so much like her... but, see, if Fuchsia was on posters, calenders and in porn... (porn that Slick, Squig and Li'l E all consumed, posters and calenders that both Slick and Squig had possession of) ...

then it's reasonable to assume they'd base these wish fulfillment androids on their very popular employee. I think they might have been in development before she left though, so I don't really think any similarities to her were done to spite her, per say. But it's possible they definitely might have rushed some kind of launch date to spite her.

I think Milton's wording is interesting. He says "lonely people", not "lonely men". I don't know how much significance is in that but I think it's interesting that Tat would have him word it that way. It's like Milton believes lonely women buy fembots too. The other interpretation being that Milton doesn't think women are people, but I certainly hope that's not what Tat is going for.

To be fair, most of the sexualised girls in Sinfest were dead ringers for each other because Tat drew them with pretty much the same hip and bust dimensions.

Admittedly true, but even though these characters - Fuchsia, Blue, Sapphire, Nique, Absinthe, maybe Tange - have the same or similar body types they are still identifiable based on unique hair styles, colors and outfits.

Meanwhile the Fembots had the same hairstyle and color as Fuchsia, and even wore a pink lingerie that looks pretty much like her work uniform. If they had horns and tails, in the specific strip I linked, then they would have been completely indistinguishable from Fuchsia. Thus why I think they are based on her. It's not exactly uncommon for androids and/or dolls to be aesthetically based on real people. And Fuchsia was technically well-known enough in-universe that it could have been done.

And Devilcorp HAS made an android that looks like Blue before, as well. She's not really a "fembot" though.

I love the Fyoosh-esque pose in panel 2. Also, yes, it's great to see the continuity and hopefully even see someone learning from this incident.

Also also, is this going to put an end to the arguments in favour of Milton that excuse whatever he does to fembots? Tat is looking like he's very much not on the fence on this one...

"Use and throw away". Last time I checked, men rarely initiate divorce. Same goes even for relationships.

Average men feel responsible and don't want to hurt a woman that wants a relationship with them. "She was so generous to give me sex, how can I hurt her now and simply go away. I'd be a monster if I do that". Men who have no sexual confidence are even worse - they are capable of accepting all kinds of abusive shit from their girlfriend or wife, because they're afraid of losing her. If someone discards their partners easily, that's women, because they can afford it, especially when they're young.

And killing. Yes, that's exactly what we do as a society with women (and men) who prefer to be single.
