Nothing smooths things along better than the threat of insubordination reports.

Yes. One of the sons also totally has one of those helicopter-caps and his daughter has a cute little bow. They all have matching glasses.

Well, there goes any hope of Milton doing the right thing. Interesting also that he's not being rescued, just interrogated for the code. A consequence of his previous behaviour?

Also, Milton has no wife or kids. Or indeed any stable relationship with anyone female. You can tell that from the way he's endlessly creeping on Sapphire and Blue, and controlling/killing fembots. He doesn't know how to relate to women at all.

I wonder how many married women, if asked, would say that their husbands know how to relate to women. I don't much care, I just wonder.

No, that isn't fixed.

Although I don't think his being a creeper means he can't have a wife and kids at home. He could. His home would probably be awfully dysfunctional.

Unless it isn't.

Russel Williams held down a normal marriage for longer than Sinfest has run and he was a panty-raiding serial killer in his spare time. People can be more complicated and multi-layered than you're giving them credit for. Bad acts don't wash out the good but good acts certainly don't wash out the bad.

It is entirely possible that Milton has a family at home who he treats with love, care, and respect. Not only would that give more insight into his character, which has been trope-dependant and underdeveloped so far, but it would actually make a statement about how he treats women differently depending on context and percieved role within a patriarchal mindframe, not that he just generally treats all women the same (like objects). The perspective that some women are real people and others aren't depending on what is beneficial to him would be far more appropriate given the Goodwife/Slut dichotimy that the Sinfest Patriarchy Conspiracy is trying to enforce upon society.

Or he could just be a weasely little slimeball with no redeeming or interesting personality traits whatsoever. I prefer the more complex interpretation.

Jabberjay, on what basis do you have for being snide to people for not automatically coming to the same contrived headcanon you have independently of you? I mean, nothing's wrong with contrived/baseless headcanon (it's where the most interesting fanfiction can come from) but it doesn't give you a license to talk down to people because they're not treating you as if you were Sinfest's co-writer.

Anyways.

Why are you using your creative talents to establish life support for a character that's clearly not complex enough to be deserving of your effort? Milton is largely confirmed as having the role/character of an irredeemable sleazeball. Nothing in the comics have suggested otherwise without going out of your way to interpret Milton (and only Milton) in an abstract way.
I don't disagree that your interpretation is more interesting. I don't even disagree that the ideas Mr. Ishida brings up should be given more nuance or that there should be other media like "new" Sinfest to tackle it better. That would be awesome, I'm all for it. But I do at least respect what direction Sinfest actually took even if I'd have done things way differently. I'm not rude to people for only discussing what's actually been shown by the comic itself, in lieu discussing the bizarre things that sometimes run through my head. In fact I'd actually be kind of worried if I was the only non-psychic here.

(On that particular note: Is it still too late to somehow put Milton's mind inside of a fembot and see how things go from there?)
