A plushie pitchfork, if offered up, would probably sell out to Sinfest fans on day one.

Things noticed on first perusal:
- Even Blue's door has a frowny face. Goodness.
- Quite a splendid room. An indication of Blue's rising status, perhaps. I wonder who keeps it clean? Blue herself, maids, or specialized cleaning drones?
- The painting in the closet -- what is hidden by 'Nique's shoulder that we can't see? The stack of books is visible. Are Fuchsia and/or Crim in the picture? There's a history of this painting in the archives, isn't there?
- 'Nique either doesn't know about plushie pitchforks, or she can't imagine Blue having one. She goes straight for the one with functional points and looks askance at the pink plushie one that Abby produces.
- But Abby knows. How does she know? Seems like admitting to sleeping with a soft pitchfork is rather like admitting to sleeping with a teddy bear.
- Fuschia's thank-you is on the wall, prominently displayed, while the painting is not.
- Those "D'awwwwww!" expressions on their faces once Blue is tucked in.
- Holding hands in the last panel. And the D-man statue standing over them, glaring down at them in a dramatic and ominous pose.

Still seems an opportune time for the boss to walk in, for maximum drama and damage. For Blue's sake I hope I'm wrong. But that statue looks like foreshadowing.

Panel XVIII and those identical expressions.

I am laughing most heartily indeed!

And now drilling down through the archives just a bit:

Blue's room here isn't so grand, and the tree painting is on the wall -- just shows a tree:

And here, too -- a simple room, the tree painting shows just a tree. But the butterfly gave her pause (is this Fuchsia's room?):

ETA: In answer to my own question, yes, that appears to be Fuchsia's room in the second one: http://www.sinfest.net/view.php?date=2011-11-06

"My peaceful place." Though this post-dates Blue's temper-tantrum in Fuschia's room. But the title explains why she painted the tree. Many times over.

The second thing I thought of when seeing this comic was that, once Blue wakes up, she's going to realize someone went into her room and went through her stuff to bring the blanket and plush fork down to her. There might be some displeasure at that.

A sweet comic that demonstrates real friendship. Very nice to see!

Much more powerful than being lectured to about how 'friendship is magic' by a bunch of cishet obese white males in their mid-30s that touch themselves over technicolor ponies from a children's cartoon show.

Pitchforks are triple phallic. But dinner forks are quadruple phallic, which may make them the most phallic things ever. And you put them in your mouth.

And a spork would be what? Androgynous? Or hermaphroditic?

Sporks are probably some flavor of genderqueer.

Blue might have received this large room as part of her promotion.
