An clues who this is? Someone we already know, or a new character about to be introduced? The shadowy portrait in the poster in the last panel doesn't strike a bell for me. |

I don't see where Tat is going with this. What does this strip have to do with showing how evil all men are and how wymyn are oppressed?
Wait, I get it. The museum is passing over strong wymyn artists in order to promote cishet male pieces instead.
Well played, tat. Well played indeed. _________________ Valar Morghulis. |

I hope he's not going all Star Trek-y and it turns out to be Li'l E from the future. I mean, that could be well-played if handled very, very carefully but... so often it's not. |

Is it just me -- am I quite mad -- or does the Vainglorious signature bear a slight resemblance to Walt Disney's signature in the Disney logo? |

Oh, I'm sure he can make a reasonable explanation as to why Li'l E would suddenly be able to bomf, or why he's suddenly interested in overthrowing D-man... but... like... he's not interested in overthrowing D-man. He's never been. Even when he was self-professed as being "evil" his goal was to be approved of by D-man, not to overthrow him... so... idk... I don't think it's him.
Demon Tat, however... That'd be kinda cool. I mean, we KNOW that Tat's self insert is Sometimes A Devil Person... so... I mean, it could work. _________________ Character Chart | Terminology Dictionary | Flashback Strips |

You're not. Will Eisner has a similar signature as well. _________________ ::lesser crisis mode::

I had a chilling thought that it might be Criminey, that he has an alternate side like Slick, which we've not seen yet. but as an alternate artist to compete with Fuschia would certainly challenge the relationship. However, he's not hell-born so I really doubt this would happen. Excited to see how this turns out! |

Future Theo. The artist fanboy. That would be cool. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I’ll do anything to protect them from hurt, the human race is what I serve." - Baba Brinkman |

Whoa, I wasn't expecting the week to begin on a Vainglorious tangent! I have no idea where this story arc could go.
Also, could this be the very first time Tat drew a weekday strip with an oversize panel? |

I don't remember seeing it before, but I'm the last person to ask for specific details about the comic. It's a neat effect, though... I bet in the right situations it could be used to really cool effect (rather than just fading to white... like maybe a multicolor sky [you know, sunset or whatever] where the colors of the sky reflect something about the nearby panels... or something...) _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. I was just impressed to see Fuchsia not only leave the tree area but actually enter a building. We haven't seen her inside anywhere in quite some time. |

Looks like a sort of dark side of Tat to me. The longer hair suggests a bit more emo, too.
It'll be interesting to see where this goes. We know that the art style has been changing somewhat, recently; this may explore some of the reasons, or what he's trying to do with it. |
