I got hit by hail today!

Yeah, its raining/hailing a crapload in Chicago. No camera but I got absolutely beaned in the head and have a big bump that actually bled a little. Ouch.

No real point to this thread other than to pass that message of pain along

I've been stuck in two massive hailstorms this year.

And I watched as a third such storm completely disintegrated my pet project garden and annihlated a potted cactus that I was quite fond of.

today two chinook helicopters flew over the college so low I could make out facial hair on the pilot.

apparently it's not surprising, as none of the people studying on the lawn even looked up, but I thought it was interesting.

Kind of like when you can tell tourists because they look up at the C5's or A-10 Warthogs doing laps around my local area.

Yeah Cletus, the parking lot where I work was completely flooded out earlier in the main area. Quite horrible in the Island Lake/Wauconda/Prarie Grove area tonight.
