I've had neopets for over 5 years. And I still visit almost every day. Though usually just to collect my interest at the bank. Never know when I'll get nostalgic and want to mess around with it again.
Plus I go on streaks where I start playing some of the games again.
Every now and then, I'll feed my pets again, just because.

I even plan on making an account for the baby and adopting a pet for him on the day he's born so he'll have a virtual pet that's the same age as him.

The site creators, a pair of Brits named Adam and Donna, created the site for bored College students.

Currently there are over 100 Million "owners" (although one person can have more than one account, so there aren't really that many players). The site is available in 11 languages and there are versions designed for very young players around 6 or so and up.

It is owned by MTV Networks, a part of Viacom. It has partnerships with Borders Books, and Limited Too, and is a big advertiser for Disney.

It's ranked 5th in time spent on the site, and ranked 11th in page views.

The Winglets have neopet accounts. They tried to get me to join but at the time I was enamored of my account at Millsberry.com. I still check on my girl every week or so.
