well, i personally think, god has changed in like the last 2 or 3 [months in real world, weeks in time concerning the sinfest strips]...his character[or he] is clearly becoming a bit more...weird. sure, he was sarcastical all right at anytime before, but since the "i think you are not listening" strip...well he is veering WAY off the track[in the strip. in reality, which is only a poor derivate of the strips, though, he seems to be messing around a bit longer]. it bothers me, because tat is right with that[as you see in my annotations between the brackets].
can anyone guess what i am trying to say?

I dont know about discussing god. I liked the quote twister gave. Shakespeare is great. "All the world is a stage, and all the people merely players. they have there entrances and exits, and one man in his time plays many parts." great stuff.

Oh, God. Not that line. Why is it every time I hear that damned line, it's misquoted?
Here it is from As You Like It in its proper context:

Never said it was happy, just great. A work of literary genius. But dang, that is depressing. Hence i choose to look at the brighterr side of life.
And for the record, I wasn't that far off for my part. Not as bad as "Elementary, my dear Watson" which was actually never said by sherlock.

A cohesive narrative would've been nice. Jesus doesn't really stay on character like he should. You'd think over the ~1800 or so years it's been around, the editors could have nailed all that down.  |

I must say that stage directors like this rendition of god are annoying. So are many modern artists, you know: the ones who throw paint on a canvas and call it a masterpiece?

Yeah... I went into the national museum of modern art and most of it was crap I could do... like there was a cube stuck in between two mirrors for $1,000... WTF!
And I would watch the Truman Show, not the funniest of Jim Carrey's movies but interesting concept...

Ya haven't seen The Truman Show? Definitely, see it.

That's nothing compared to all the noncanonical fanfiction which has almost completely shaped the popular conception, especially of the devil. Paradise Lost and The Inferno seem to be where most people draw their ideas about Satan, and both works are highly invented and allegorical literature which were NOT meant to be genuine commentary on the subject of the Devil. So much of the popular Satan image is completely fictitious (assuming biblical accounts to be reliable in this case) that it's ridiculous. |
