yeah, so this isn't like legitimate horror or anything so I figured I'd post it here. I'm here for my little brother's high school graduation party and it's the night before and things as usual haven't been great with the family so I swiped a bottle of wine meant for tomorrow out of the fridge to drink tonight and I'm simply NOT a fan of the choice of bottle I made.
I really hope this post makes me seem like a pretentious wine snob and not the degenerate alcoholic who drank the bottle anyway that I actually am.

I got a smartphone at a low price because I thought it would solve my problem of not being able to make calls from where I'm now living.
I was assured calls could be made via the 3G network. This does not appear to be the actual case.
On the plus side (I guess?) I can access Facebook and Twitter from anywhere, now. I might be able to figure out other things that are useful.

- I overdrafted from the bank; had over $150 in fees.
+ The bank understands that it was not my fault and cut said fees in half, leaving me with $75 or so.
-- Someone from the office went to Austin to follow a story, had them foot a bill about $800, leaving us freelancers without work as the boss and his superiors try not to lose anymore money. Because of that, I'm without work for at least three weeks.
+ Bank understands the situation and just asks to keep them updated.
++ Mom offered to pay the overdraft fees and a little extra, much to my surprise. She's usually tightfisted with money.
+++ Throughout this, I have been remarkably easy-minded, enjoying the summer instead of moping around in my room. I've been growly, yeah, but I have been outside and enjoying the gardening and knitting.

i bwf'sed literally everyone on my friends list

i expected it to just be a fun joke, and the end result was kind of worth writing about.

I can't imagine anyone on my friends list even using that.

what is it with you and wasps? why are they invading the basement to get to you?

i am beginning to suspect that there is some dark history that you are not telling us about - mowing under a wasp-infested tree only explains so much.

Wasps?

Every day I've been waking up to a single wasp in my bedroom. I then spend about a minute showing it where the door is and letting it out. This has been the first thing I do when I get up for so many days -.-

maybe I should fix my screendoor

Today isn't really shaping up to be a good day. Or hopefully just not a good morning.

At least it's Friday.

I smell good?

In all actuality they just build nests where I need to go. This time they were in a pole on the fence and aggravated by us hoisting a couch over the fence.

It's also right next to where I grill though. They better not be in my grill again.

Oh, the couch was a fun story. Thought I told it. Jinx had actually offered to help out with it because he's awesome like that.

I needed to bring our couch, which is jerkishly large, down to the basement. Only problem is that it doesn't fit the basement steps. So we had to bring it around the back of the house. Two problems here, I have a row home so bringing it around the house is meaning to go around the block and there is a narrow stair way to get to the back yard meaning we had to vertically life the couch ~12 feet.

I had planned to do it tomorrow, but my dad stopped by Tuesday and we did it kind of spur of the moment. The love seat was easy enough, I was able to climb the wall/fence and pull it over on my back, but the couch was another issue. I had to stand the couch on its arm-side and vertically lift it to the point my dad could grab it from the top and hold it while I climbed up and lifted it the rest of the way.

HE-MAN!!

To be honest, I only offered to get Mz. Love a pug-petting opportunity.

ok - i would probably be pretty pissed if you dragged a couch over _my_ house. or even dragged it by my house. i hate racketty neighbors.

and i think mz. love should get a pug-petting session anyway; it will help her heal up.

Fun time date is its own reward or something like that. Relax!
