+ Looks like I am finally getting some relief.
+ My friend did her magic and that helped.
+ Found a gyno that doesn't think I am crazy.
- It is more injections.
- This time through the spine. The goal is to hit some nerves on the inside space next to the coccyx that go to all my pain areas.

Has anyone heard of this injections through the spine? This is going to be administered by a pain specialist so theoretically he does this all the time.

As far as pluses go this is one of the more weird ones.

And one which gives way to more questions than answers.

You would be surprised at how often the doctors that study female parts have no idea how to listen to what a woman is saying about what is going on. I had one gyno give me lidocaine which actually made things worse because I kept hurting myself.

- So I was talking to a friend and he worried that this injection thing might cause me to lose sensation.
- My immediate response is OH SHIT I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT and immediately started having pain in my girl bits. Because my life sucks like that.
+ ANYWAY, I found a medical book on Google Books with a case that describes me to a fucking T. Seriously. It was scary how close it was. Directly after that, it describes the injection procedure I am going to have done Thursday - a ganglian impar block.
+ It has few side effects and is very effective and reducing and eliminating pain.
+/- I _think_ there is an understood concept here that this block is to pain receptors and not touch/pleasure receptors but I can't quite be certain.
- Motherfuck I am terrified this won't work.

For those that like medical shit and want to know all about my business, the right hand column describes me pretty damn perfectly. The next page is the procedure I am going to have done.

+/- My wife and I are splitting up.
+/- We are still living together until we can afford the divorce.
+ We still get along/no screaming at each other.
+/- This week she is going to start meeting guys for dating.

Yeah, life is pretty weird right now.

I know weird. If you need someone to talk to, I am here. I have been trying to do the honorable thing and not have the divorce papers delivered to my husband at his police academy. But he never seems to have time to meet. I want to move on, but not having it official is making dates seem weird. We've been in agreement over it since October. Just sucks sometimes. Rolling Eyes

I knew someone dealing with that exact situation once. He got out of the house as much as possible. Pretty much every day, he was helping friends with projects or chores. It helped him keep his mond off things, and I think he also got a place to stay that way, by agreeing to do yard work for rent.

I wouldn't mind getting out of the house more, but I don't want to do that to just distract me from what's happening. I want to do it simply because I'd like to get out of the house more.
I try to accept my life for what it is and just keep working towards what I want it to be.

So I'm home for easter weekend and that's a big plus. University has been hectic as hell right now and a 4 day break at home is going to be wonderful.

Found out my dog got almost died while I was gone. A routine vet procedure caused massive internal bleeding and they had to operate on the poor little fellow. Kind of a downer, but he's doing better now than he was before so I guess that's pretty decent.

Also, traveling in Dash-8s (small twin turboprop passenger planes) sucks when you're tall. It really, really sucks.

I just signed up to take the GRE. Everything about my situation suggests that this is the best way to approach things, but dear fuck that doesn't make it seem any less miserable.

It's a stupid test that only measures two things: vocabulary and maths (basic statistics, geometry, and algebra). If you do well on the GRE you're likely to do well in grad school, but because neither of those skills is directly relevant to many programs (such as anything involving medicine), not doing well on the GRE isn't an indication that someone would not do well in grad school. Which is why the GRE is dumb.

But good luck! It's long, irritating, and stressful. Pee before you start. Razz
