Welp, tooth came out clean (which means $160 instead of $300, so that's nice), and now I have carte blanche to eat nothing but milkshakes for the next three days. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Yeah, still down a tooth, but it could have been far worse.
Of course, since all that went well, what are the odds I get a dry socket... _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

Tomorrow I start my first rotation on a locked psych unit. I'm really looking forward to spending the summer back in my preferred specialty (I spent the spring working in neuro/stroke). Plus, for the most part I'll never need to wear scrubs again unless I want to.
But I'm always nervous and lose sleep the night before my first shift, even though it always goes fine. Le sigh. Brains. Silly old things. _________________ "Worse comes to worst, my people come first, but my tribe lives on every country on earth. Got four fillings today, and the local is starting to wear off. The ibuprofen. IT DOES NOTHING.
Six more next week. _________________ The older I get, the more certain I become of one thing. True and abiding cynicism is simply a form of cowardice. |

I don't recall fillings hurting that much afterwards. _________________ Eureka00: "Reminding you of your addictions" since 1982. |

He had to go pretty deep for one of them, it's fine now but it hurt like hell for a couple hours.
Turns out 27 years of not seeing the dentist is bad for your teeth.

+ So, I finished school three weeks ago. It was a career college; I got a diploma in business accounting. I know my way around the ledgers, minor accounting, Quickbooks, Peachtree, etc.
- No one wants to hire me. Or demand at least an Associates in accounting.
-- I'm reaching the stage that I feel that the past eight months have been an utter waste of my time. I know it's too early, but dangit all.
+/- I want to start my own business, but have absolutely no idea to pull it off. _________________ WARNING: Microwave musclebear detection devices in use on these premises!

nono - it's actually a celebration of the signing of the declaration of independence! the war thing was just coincidental, and it started later, i think.

well, you learned something, that has to be of some value (even if it will take some work to get other people to appreciate that). anyone you can do volunteer accounting for, so you can demonstrate you actually know what you are doing (and have a reference to show for it)? _________________ aka: neverscared!

There are lots and lots of books about starting your own business. And you'd have an advantages of being able to do your own book keeping. I recommend checking out the 'Small Business, Big Marketing' podcast if you do decide to pursue it. _________________ ::lesser crisis mode::

So I got another 'alleged copyright infringement' notice and it gave me the time and date this time and I swear to fucking god I wasn't even doing anything. (Unless you count sleeping and/or feeding my asshole cats because they like to wake me up at 4am for stuff like that)
It kinda pissed me off so I set up a VPN thing.
*grumblegrumble* Fucking assholes. _________________ Samsally the GrayAce |
