I make brownies with Ghirardelli chocolate, Godiva liqueur, creme de cacao, and usually at least one other alcohol for flavour.

Some of the ones I've used include:
    Cherry brandy
    Creme de menthe
    Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
    Amaretto (almond liqueur)
    Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
Chambord (raspberry liqueur - for this one, I also usually use cabernet-merlot chocolate)
    Grand Marnier (orange liqueur)

Most folks I know call my brownies "sex on a plate." The former City of Heroes playerbase dubbed them "Speed Boost in a Tray." Smile

Having to watch my fat and sugar intake means that I've been enjoying a lot of sugar-free angel food cake with strawberries.

So, i found recipe for quindim and negrinho in english.

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/24052/brigadeiro/

The negrinho you can just make it and eat it like its pudim on a spoonfull of it, no need to make into a ball.

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/190357/quindim/

About the quindim recipe:

I dont normally use the egg white, so i dont recomend it.

When seperating the egg yolks, dont put directly in the pan to mix, put in a spagethi strainer first and break the yolk into the pan, that way the yolk membrane will still be in the espagethi strainer and not in to the pan, making your quindim not extremelly eggy taste like.

God, compared to you guys I feel like such a pleb when it comes to desserts. I usually end up having a ready-made sponge pudding (either chocolate with a kinda-liquid chocolate centre or plain sponge with a golden syrup topping) with some vanilla ice-cream when I'm at home.

Of course, when I get to go out for a meal, everything changes. I don't know if any of you have ever had a rocky road sundae before but I swear it must be illegal to enjoy something so much. Vanilla and chocolate ice-cream with a generous helping of chocolate sauce sprinkled with marshmallows oh sweet lord YES.

goddammit now i'm drooling all over my keyboard thanks a lot you guys.

I dont know if that is what we call "pudim nuven"(cloud pudim) or just the dense pudim we do.

Does it when you put in your mouth, does it feel like you havent put anything inside like it was aether(or a cloud) like or it has a dense consitency?

Also good: Nilla wafers and banana pudding.

Is banana pudding that same as banana bread?

It definitely feels like something's in my mouth when I take a bite of it.

(side note: i ended up googling sponge cakes to get a better idea of what it actually is and now i'm really craving some sponge cake Sad )

I was at the bakery to buy bread and I almost bought some lemon cakes too... but I prevailed!

I'll put extra lemon on the roasted broccoli that is going to be tonight's diner.

Well, while we are speaking of local delicacies, let me introduce you to "dulce de leche" (loosely translated as milk sweet)

Heat one liter of milk on the stove, add 250g of sugar and start stirring nonstop as soon as it starts boiling. Be careful of lumps.

Once it's well-stirred, add half a teaspoon's worth of sodium bicarbonate, and a teaspoon of vanilla, keep on the stirring until it gets a brown color. Requires a lot of patience in stirring, but it's fantastic.

I think there's an easier recipe that involves condensed milk at water bath.

Goes real well with pancakes!

Also flan, biscuits, croissants, and basically anything that you'd otherwise add Nutella to.

LEMON. We've been over this. Lemon cheesecake.

The broccoli was great too. Only I had forgotten to fish out the co-roasted garlic. Oops.
