If no one was going to eat them, those animals would never have lived at all.

Just think of the poor soy bean, cut down in the prime of life. No, I lied, when the soy bean is harvested the plant is withered and dried up.

I know you're being facetious but the best way to get fewer plants eaten is by not eating animals at all, since they eat a lot more plants before they get turned into meat.

Some Gourmet food is better, some Gourmet food is worse, I went to a place in Mayfair and it all tasted way too sweet and salty. Like how American food is.

But I tried some duck gizzards in Harrods and they were very nice Smile

Also animals eat waste food, wheat, soy and grass. And you can't make all wheat into a good bread.

the fact that you could mistake chicken breasts for tofu really says all that needs to be said about chicken breasts.

None of that actually happened, but yes, that was the point. Chicken breast has no taste! It's like eating pasta without anything! It's boooooring.

funny you should bring that up.

there were several times in uni where i thought to myself "i'll have some pasta with absolutely nothing else" and every time it was delicious.

granted it was usually late at night when i thought this and after i'd had dinner anyway so.

Ha. Well, if you have good, fresh pasta and boil it in some fine broth and eat it immediately, it can be good. But it gets boring quickly.

Chicken breast has taste, you're just eating badly raised animals. It doesn't have a lot of taste, and I prefer it with skin, but if you have a good chicken breast and grill it with a bit of salt you can taste a chicken-y flavour.

or you can just go straight to eating chicken thighs, and get taste _and_ moisture.

Yup! Liked chicken breasts, now like the thighs even more...
So, consider this...

Chicken thighs chopped into little (~1cm) pieces, thrown onto a pan to lightly fry (not burn!) in some butter with a little curry, with a finely chopped tomato and thin carrot slices added on top, left for about an hour to get cooked under a closed lid on slow fire, until the tomato bits and carrot slices get basically dissolved into a delicious sauce enveloping the chicken pieces.

Again I say, tofu! With a recipe like that it'll be at least as good.
