i've been getting so much lately, and some of it actually has some gems, so i can't resist sharing. this one was called "tax-deductible bible", and it starts slow, but ends:
Quote:
Lynell Milley offered to be in charge of the funeral dinners since Jean Maness . The scan is very thorough and I like the format of the review list it presented. the registry becomes more and more fragmented over time. Registry fragmentation causes overall system performance to decrease. Wind your way through the hive tunnels to find the exit, and smother hapless beekeepers by swarming with the rest of your hive to show the puny humans your queen is boss! packed car driven by a suicide bomber rammed into a Shiite funeral tent in . Stretched out: Purdue wide receiver Dorien Bryant makes a diving catch during the second quarter. of Briggs' upcoming funeral.
Guide the bee through the fields of honeycombs filling them with honey.

the alternating bee and funeral images appeal to me, somehow.

feel free to share the ones you get!

I get about 50 of these a day at work. Unfortunately, that means I refuse to read them all to pick out the gems. =\

look, i can read this stuff, or i can do actual work.

not sure the imagery is as good here (although the insertion of religion into religion and football is always attractive), but the insistent chorus rather drives it:

Connolly, Bev Vincent, M. Meetings and brainstorming with the elite Team Cosmo yeilded the concept: A six-part miniseries where every episode would premiere at a BYU home football game.
Could a true evangelical wholeheartedly endorse a Mormon candidate? For the most part, people just ignored me, except for the one BYU cop who asked if I really was homeless and if I needed help. Most importantly, with a few notable exceptions, it's absolute shit.

as an additional note, eudora for some reason assigned this two chili peppers.

fortunately, you have me to do that for you!

this important advice from vincent castillo, in "hindrance predate":
Quote:
List the things you like about yourself, and qualities that are important to you in a relationship. If you own a digital camera, it may already have this capability, so check the instructions.

i have _got_ to start reading my manuals, i had no idea my camera might have this feature. who knows what the toaster oven might do?

OK! I found out what this is all about.

These are test messages to see if they get past spam firewalls. If the spam gets rejected by a firewall, then the spammer takes your name off their list. If there is no reject message, or a read receipt gets through back to the spammer, they consider your email an active target, and start selling your email to other spammers, and start telling you about viagra and the next big stock pump and dump.

The random words are designed to convince the robot spam firewalls that this is a valid message. They are specifically designed to avoid "hot" words like viagra, perscriptions, free, order, etc, and to have "negative hit" words like performance, system, hapless, quarter, all designed to look to a spam program like a real email.

You are subjects of the latest anti-anti-spam technology.

i _wondered_ what the whole point of those was. also, why they always seem to start with what i assume is an image (which my email system strips out) and end with a gif (and the only one of those i checked out was a link to some viagra site)

well, that's a little depressing - except my email system does seem to do a good job of chucking all the pron/meds stuff into "junk"....all that checking, and they still don't get through to me.

did you really think there was some lunatic out there flooding the internet with his poetry for no other reason than to confound or amuse the recipients via it's unremiting ridiculousness?

well, there's a lot of bad poets out there....some of them could be smart enough to spam the internet with their poetry.

or, you know, our computers might be intercepting telecasts of vogon poetry readings.

it's a big universe - all _kinds_ of things could be going on.

Why thank you, yes I am. Smile

Some people, other than you and I, might not have understood the mechanics behind this, which is why I posted. I'm assumed you were just too busy and so I posted it for the other members.
