'Nique, you might think that's cute, but seriously you are endangering your girlfriend's job. It is a job that she actually seems to like and that she is afraid of losing. Do you know where she could be sent in its stead?

And I don't think it was even her first time pulling stuff like this.

Projectiles traveling less than the speed of sound (about 340 m/s in dry air at sea level) are subsonic, while those traveling faster are supersonic and can travel a substantial distance and even hit a target before a nearby observer hears the "bang" of the shot. Projectile speed through air depends on a number of factors such as barometric pressure, humidity, air temperature, and wind speed. Most tank cannons have a muzzle velocity somewhere between 472 m/s and 1,021 m/s meaning that the cat would be launched at supersonic speeds.

Given the air friction at that speed and a felines non-aerodynamic design, it is less likely that the rainbow would be made of sunlight reflecting off of water vapor and more likely to be made up of disintegrating cat parts.

Although I do not doubt that it would be both colorful and memorable.

And this is why you need to think more carefully about your actions, Nique! Think of the poor kittens you've doomed to a high-speed death!

well, they could be stuffed kittens. i mean, can you imagine how difficult it would be to keep live kittens in the magazine or loading chamber or whatever it was? because you would want that thing to be ready to fire at any time.

i shall steadfastly believe that monique was thinking toy kittens. (and also a cannon that fired a low-speed projectile). (because even a stuffed kitten would hurt at supersonic speeds).

Come now, I think it's pretty obvious that you would only be able to fire an individual cat a maximum of 8 times. Schrödinger's Cat demonstrates that the cat will at any particular time be both dead and alive. The Cat Who Walks Through Walls demonstrates that the age of the cat will determine if it will pass through walls, or by stopped by a wall. And Poul Anderson long ago proved to me what I had suspected, that cats bend the space/time continuum. Somewhere I have a book with his essay documenting his research.

Schrödinger's Cat can't be demonstrated because observer-dependent physics undermine the Gods' decision three thousand years ago to ban cats from straddling the borders of the netherworld.

Plus, this is mild compared to what I thought Monique might do. Mild, and also very funny xD

I was watching videos of the Stephen Colbert youtube channel. There's been a segment last week from a band called Rainbow Kitten Surprise.

...Interesting.

So, who else has been watching Stephen Colbert? 'Nique or Tat?
