Pretty damn subtle. If you spell "subtle" like this.

Is the Chainsaw running? Thats damn dangerous for all.

But beside that, to show the Pimp that there are Limits is good, but i fear that he will just go over to more... drastical actions. Because he is not somebody who just gives up. He will come back, but this time with a bigger Backup. Good thing that Monique prefented that the next Bot is a killing Machine. But that wouldnt stop him from ordering another one. Exept he has no Money for it. Then we get a Rainbowshooting Robot.

Yes, literally threatening to decapitate someone with a running chainsaw you are currently holding. This is a rational response to someone who isn't threatening someone with physical violence.

Absolutely no excuse for this. However, pumping a shell into my 12 gauge in front of my daughter's boyfriend was totally justified. Ineffective, as it turned out, which only made it more justified. Especially after it turned out he had been two timing her. Twisted Evil

Aggressive anger, threats of violence, displays of dominance. What are these things?

Well considering who he is and the threat that he (and sex work) brings to Sapphire's life, I think their response is justified.

"Sick and tired of being pushed around", in this context.

I wanted the conversation to go from 0 to Vlad The Impailer, I just wasn't expecting it to be dished out by some Lemonade Stand kids.

*sniffs snobbishly* It's a coffee stand, thank you very much. Sapphire just so happens to be a regular customer. Gotta keep the clients safe after all.

I'm sure your daughter really appreciated being condescendingly and ineffectively "protected".

No, she didn't like it. She was 16 at the time, he was 19. 16 years later, a 3 year difference is not much, but at that age, in hs and out of hs, it makes a difference. I knew it wasn't a good situation, so did her little brother, who had more in common with him than she did. Except for her, we all knew he wasn't right for her. Turns out, we were right. But we didn't realize how right for some time. I never had that feeling about the woman she married last year. Very Happy She was going through a phase trying to convince herself she liked boys. Took a few more years to admit it to herself, and then to tell us.
But to go back to your statement, it is a parent's job to protect their children. I also made her wear seatbelts.

Okay, I'm actually not with you on this one at all. Systemic violence is, in some cases, worse than physical violence, and I definitely think they're justified in these intimidation tactics.

PBS Idea Channel has a good video about violence that really drills into the topic of how systemic violence can have much deeper and harsher implications than physical violence.

So, no, this criticism is unfounded.
