Boy on boy kissing in Bully

Bully hero Jimmy Hopkins is bisexual, or just experimenting, based on videos starting to surface. Looks like the controversy about Bully was a bit premature, as Hopkins obviously prefers to make love, not war. This is not "Hot Coffee" by any stretch of the imagination -- just kids kissing.

Now before everybody goes crazy, depending on your moral sensibilities, there are two videos after the break. Gamebrink's version is quick like a band-aid, with one smooch session. Of course, GayGamer's version has Jimmy going back for seconds -- nope, thirds -- wait, fourths.

The game is rated T and the box clearly states that there are "sexual themes." Players can also go through Bully without ever having to kiss a boy if they don't want to. Hopefully, the negative hype about Bully is so played out that this surprising content won't cause a frenzy about youth corruption or some such nonsense. Once again, it's kissing -- everyone stay calm.

This was linked on Penny Arcade, and I was fascinated. I'm kind of looking forward to the reactions folks will have to this,...

I think it's awesome, personally. I'd like to know what you folks think about this and the game itself, as it's already become controversial before it's even released.

Edit: Forgive me, it IS already released, which means I have to go to Gamestop immediately. But it WAS controversial before it was released, so.

So Fucking What, Joystiq? Apart from it being a poor stereotype of private schools, there seems to be nothing troubling about Bully that people haven't seen before in even more mainstream media. I would really like to play it, as the structure seems very cool, ridiculously open-ended but also with consideration for time, much like in Majora's Mask for example...

I've replayed the original Sam and Max twice and watched through all of the animated series (which I didn't even know existed) in anticipation over this. Well, I have no idea what this ultimate alliance shindig is, but...

The video linked in the article is very silly.

I've heard a bit about Bully on the internet, but I'm not sure if it's been released here, I don't play alot of video games but I tend to like unsusual/free-roaming ones so I might check it out.

No one enjoys a good laugh more than I do, except perhaps my wife, and some of her friends. Oh yes, and Captain Johnson. Come to think of it, most people enjoy a good laugh more than I do, but that's beside the point!

It has. In fact, one of your parliment members tried to get it banned, but Blair wouldn't bite.

As long as this thread is busy being terribly silly, I am going to insert a link.

This will be the reference for my next in-joke. Expect it to appear in about a month.
