Re: February 26, MMXXI 45
Absolutely. I'd like to add that, from what I've read about racism, feeling guilty is just a stepping stone to actually feeling empathetic towars people of color (either sad for them or angry on their behalf) and eventually starting to act towards dismantling white supremacy. But I guess some white...

Re: dude reviewing every sinfest strip from day 1
That would be quite a project with so many strips. You would have to decide how big of a bite to take each day. At 20 strips a day so you could complete it in a year and that would also let you see more of a story arc at once. If you kept notes as well it would be quite a time commitment but a great...

... I would not be surprised to find I am the only one radical enough here to not work, get all my food free, and do only charity for my days. If you have a job or even any money at all, you have no say here, do you? Try living in those woods in that twenty degree F weather. Then learn to enjoy it ...

Re: Picking this up over here...
Hi Russly, Your posts are always have a distinctly Russly spin which requires me to read them a couple of times. Not a bad thing at all, but sometimes I am afraid I miss your overall point and that leads me at a loss to add anything to your responses. My last post was written in order to shift the c...

Re: January 18, 2021: MMXXI 6
Hi Blue - you have really unpacked a lot with that post. The points you are making about the election are the real issue. Voter fraud has always been an aspect of each election - both sides have a lot at stake and individuals will take matters into their own hands - there has never been proof of lar...

Re: Picking this up over here...
I don't in any way wish to vilify or belittle anyone who is making the honest assessment of themselves as trans. I am not talking about reasonable and sane people. I afford the title of trans the same respect I do for other definitions such as gay, lesbian and straight. We come to those conclusions ...

Re: “Of course sex materially exists”
Great read. I like seeing people stand up to bullies with sound logic.
The backtracking among the academics when they come up against undeniable biology is quite satisfying.

Re: Picking this up over here...
I think the 'trans-identifying' tag is used in frustration. After all, one of the things that is harped upon by the trans activists is that we must accept a person based on an identity they 'feel'. They don't have to have a persistent behavior from childhood, they don't have to attempt to look a cer...

Re: How I Read Webcomics
Hi Russly - we seem to share a bit of a routine. I too have been a devoted comic fan for quite a while. Simpsons - check - although not every episode like you, Family Guy as well. Every cartoon in the newspaper read first, back when newspapers were still a thing. I managed to amass quite a collectio...

Glad you responded. It is always good to hear other's views and opinions when they are coming from people of reason. I don't intend to speak for anyone else other than myself because 1) - who am I to speak for others and, 2) - there is just too much to unpack and too many variables to address. I end...

Re: January 17, 2000: Devil Booth(A Retrospective)
Can I ask, honestly, in sincere good faith... Where is the line in the sand? Because it seems my definition of harassment is wildly different from yours. Is the topic of transphobia forbidden? And if so... why is that not explicitly stated in the rules? I am legitimately just trying to exist in thi...

Okay, not to wade in or be overly helpful, but for anyone else looking for the thread that has Mama Immo's posts, here it is: "PSA: Do Not Feed The Trolls" I am not linking it because with that title you can find it. (Just wanted to give this as a time save... It took me a while and if I didn't have...

Re: December 13, 2020 - Reckoning 50
I forget what source this insight came from (probably the author Key), but in regards to advertising - it works better if we are upset. Happy and contented people do not purchase as many things. We make far more purchases when we are trying to 'make our bad feelings go away'. Really, most businesses...

Re: How the media talks about surrogacy
I read the article. And yes, they try very hard to make the whole thing very clinical. So, what confounds me is how convoluted the whole endeavor of this surrogacy is. It seems that there must be an egg donor (woman number one). Then there must be a surrogate (woman number two). With this set up the...

Re: On that Atlantic piece slandering Ovarit and Radical Feminists in general
Oh... Just spent about 2 minutes reading some stuff at Ovarit - got a great big laugh over a response ("I swear, their cereal could be soggy tomorrow morning and these people would be like, “Fucking TERFs fucking up my breakfast”.)- definitely want to join that crew. Trying to get them to send me a ...
